The Continuing Voyage

After a long process, I have decided to keep this blog going, and add to it every summer as I travel the world. It is my way of chronicling my voyages, and hopefully something of a legacy for those to come.

***** Well, it has been a long pandemic. I actually haven’t traveled since my Camino in 2019. It is now Fall 2022. I have a new granddaughter, and now a new grandson on the way right after Christmas. I have moved, changed jobs, and am preparing to begin on a new chapter in my life. I have given myself 5 years to semi-retire and move to Central California. It a new adventure, and I think I’m ready! Stay tuned!

Update: It is 2025, and I will be moving to Central California at the end of the school year. I am not ready to fully retire, but I am ready to be a full time grandma! Woo hoo!

  1. I support, admire and adore what you are doing. I hope to have the same bravery one day. John is smiling on you right now; I can hear him. Cheers to a safe trip, with lots of smiles and heart warming sights and memories. Here’s to many more years of great friendship, Marisa 🙂

  5. I would love to leave a comment, but I seem to have a bit of dust or something in my eyes. You know me, heart of stone and all that. Just imagine, you are not only carrying your dear sweetheart with you, you have all these assorted traveling companions, packed in your carry on. You worried about ashes with TSA? Imagine trying to declare myriad friends who all love you so.

  6. I don’t know if the last comment I left was accepted.

God bless you on your travels. You are probably on the plane right now. Have a wonderful time in Australia and with your family. You will continue to be in our prayers.

    God bless you! – Pastor

  7. Yes! Sue – This morning I woke up with you in my prayers. You are probably flying over some ocean at present. Be at Peace. All will be well. Enjoy! Love and Prayers. Jo

  8. I wish I had your itinerary so I could map your adventures with my little ones. (A teacher may retire from the classroom, but we never pass up a chance for a little fun education!) Will you be able to post any pictures of your journey?
A recurring theme in your messages is that we all love you, dear Sue. Thank you for sharing this with us.

    1. Check out the menu on the right. I just finished Fiji and started New Zealand. I will be here until the 20th, when I go to Tasmania! Love you so much!

      1. Perhaps it is my mac that is keeping me from seeing the entire screen, but I do not see a menu on the right. Of course, you are there in winter! Thank goodness you think of those things and remember to pack clothes for weather cooler than 90 degrees.

I started to check on you this morning, but then the dog asked to go out. First things first, you know.

  9. Glad to hear all is going well with you. Checked in on Millie and the house. So far so good. She was so happy to see a human. Be safe. Love ya……
