I LOVE this city. I took it easy, but still managed to walk 8 miles! I went to the Castle. It’s the highest point in the city, and the remains of a medieval castle. Just fascinating.
I stayed up there for awhile. There was a small coffee shop, and I had the requisite cafe con leche. They were playing American soft pop music. It was just wonderful. The weather was about 10° cooler, and electrical storms are predicted for tonight. Tomorrow, on to Sahagun for my halfway compostela, and then on to Leon.
