July 23 O Pedrouzo to Santiago

Today began as just a beautiful walk. We headed out a little earlier than usual. Everything was picture perfect. The weather was perfect for a walk.

On of our stops was in a church dedicated to San Paio, who was a 14 year old boy who was martyred by the Moors for his faith. It was simple and stunning.

The walk was supposed to be 20km, but this finished up around 30km. We passed Lavacola, joke here, and entered the city limits of Santiago. What a thrill. It still took us a good 35 minutes to finally reach the Cathedral.

And then it was there. Simply impossible to breath or believe. After nearly 30 days on the road, I am here. Did I cry? You betcha. Years and years of planning and dreaming have culminated in that moment. The feeling was indescribable.

I am having trouble posting pictures. I will try again soon.
