July 1, 2019 Puente la Reina to Estella

I must admit by now I was really suffering. Yep, a couple of blisters, heat rash on both ankles, and exhaustion are getting to me. At least the weather is great. Only 81° today.The scenery is very beautiful, not unlike Central California. Lots of crops everywhere.We left the city and headed off. We crossed the bridge that Puente la Reina gets its name from.The walk was just as arduous, but the exertion was causing the sweat, not the heat. It was a long walk, but several beautiful sites along the way.We arrived in Estella after about 9 hours of walking. Exhausted and very sore footed I fell into my albuergue. I shared a delicious burger with my friend from Covina, and went back to a deep sleep
